Got some bad news over the holidays. Your mother's last cousin, Bernadette Hearst, nee O'Hare passed away Christmas Eve 2003. She's the last of your mother's generation in this country. She died in Victor Memorial Hospital in Brooklyn and was buried from the McLaughlin Brooklyn Funeral Home, Brooklyn in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, New York.

I had a long association with her. She was not of my generation but was a little older than me. I spent a lot of vacation time with her and her family in New York prior to my marriage. She is going to be greatly missed. She was born in Brooklyn on June 25, 1911 and spent her whole life there, other than her time in the service. She was buried on New Year's Eve 2003.
